My Mother ~ Gladys gave birth to me in January of 1948. She had Bohemian Gypsy blood in her Family lines, of which I proudly inherited. Music was in our Soul! But wait! Let's not go back that far!! When I first heard Cozy Cole's 45 RPM (Topsy part 1 and 2) in the '60's, I was Mesmerized by the way he played the Drums. I just had to have a Drum Set. She got me one and I played and played, out in the Garage! Two twin Brother's down the street (Greg & Guy McElroy) got Guitars for Xmas and we had a band! Hugh Gaskins joined us later on and we played party's and Prom Dances! After I got out of the Army in 1971, we got back together and started a new Band called "Streetnoise". We played the San Diego Nightclubs for many years and became thee best Blues/Rock Band in Town! Wolfman Jack was a huge Fan!! Eventually, we burned out! Too much Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll!!!!! I left the Music business for over 24 years. I continued to write Music but did not perform for the Public. Then, due to an unusual set of circumstances, I ran into Hugh while I was back in San Diego. He was still Rockin' the Town with his Energetic and Unique style. He agreed to make a CD with me of my "stuff" (and some of his). In 2006, we released Gaskins N' Gunner ~ "Back on Track". Check it out for a musical Ride!! Hugh did not join me on this project, so I went it alone. All of the Instruments are played by me except for the Lead Guitar's on some of the Songs. I recorded it on a Tascam MKII Portastudio in my Xtra Bedroom, with the total support of my Beautiful Wife, Marcy (who used to come and watch us play in Streetnoise)!! So, kick back ~ pour a little Crown Royal (or your preference) and take a musical journey down the previously undiscovered Depth of my Gypsy Mind!! Thanx, Mom! I know you're listening and Dancin'!! Rock on, gunner....

Gaskins N' Gunner: Bio
Greg "Gunner" Gunter created a Blues/Rock band in the 1970's named "Streetnoise" with Hugh Gaskins. We quickly became "thee" best night club band in San Diego playing to packed houses all over town. We played our versions of popular recording artists of that time, such as The Stones, Van Morrison, Alvin Lee, Dylan, The Doors and many others, as well as our original music. Sadly, we never recorded our songs and after a few years we reluctantly broke up and went our seperate ways. I, Gunner got out of the music business but continued to write my Blusey/Dylan style of music and lyrics hoping one day to re-unite with my buddy Hugh and record. Finally after 24 years I found the time and had the songs, so I looked up Hugh. We got together and laid down this track. It's birthday was October 12th 2006. Initial response is "really good music". A mix of Blues, Rock & a little Country flavor mixed in. If you like a variety of music with lyrics that inspire Daydreams, give us a listen. It's a Toe Tappin', Finger Snappin' ride!!
